When we began this journey to partner with Wreaths Across America to sponsor local cemeteries, we started with Holy Cross where my inspiration is laid to rest - Mr. Gary Allen Larrow -- my dad! He is the reason the Quiet Corner Veterans Support Coalition was created. Through my grief of losing him suddenly on Christmas Eve morning 2019 and the ensuing pandemic that shut the world down for almost two years, I found inspiration in finding ways to give back to my community. My grief was turned into something positive and here we are today. The community love and support for veterans like my father is endless. Through our work with Wreaths Across America we can offer but a small token of appreciation that is owed to each and every veteran who has passed on, is still serving and will serve in the future. Our work here is to ensure we recognize the service and sacrifice that keeps us safe and free, to ensure those who have passed on are never forgotten and we teach the next generation why our veterans mean so much and deserve to be honored each and every day.
